In this class, students will learn how to use a Gelli plate to create multi-layered prints. Gelli plates are reusable silicone plates that don't require a printing press. The gel-like surface of the plate is sensitive and can be used with a variety of tools, including brushes, brayers, stencils, and found objects. Students will experiment with colors, textures, and layering techniques to create unique prints.

Students are encouraged to bring stencils, botanicals (leaves and flowers), and black-and-white photographs from magazines or laser-printed images.

You can bring your own Gelli plate and roller with you or you can purchase one from GNAL the day of the workshop. Please indicate if you would like to buy a Gelli plate and roller when you register for this class.
