Improve Your Drawing Ability

Drawing proficiency is important for all artists. This class focuses on improving observational and technical skills. At the beginning of each lesson, I will demonstrate how to begin a drawing from either a still life set-up or photograph using charcoal or pencil while discussing working methods. Individual attention will be provided for each participant. Other drawing mediums may be demonstrated at the student’s request.

This class is suitable for intermediate to advanced students.

charcoal paper (Canson pastel/charcoal paper preferred)
drawing paper (Bristol smooth paper works well)
charcoal pencils
pencils
kneaded eraser
chamois
blending stump
backing board to support paper
ruler
suggested- iPad to record still life set-ups or your own photographs to work from in class
