No prior art experience is necessary! If you're looking for a fun, therapeutic, and vibrant creative outlet, this is the perfect class for you. Alcohol ink is a highly pigmented, fast-drying medium known for its incredible fluidity and mesmerizing, unpredictable movement. It’s a medium that encourages play, spontaneity, and embracing happy accidents.

Join us for a relaxing, hands-on class where you will dive into the vibrant world of alcohol inks and create stunning masterpieces.

What You Will Learn:

• Materials & Safety: We will start with a proper introduction to alcohol inks, blending solutions (Isopropyl alcohol), and the best non-porous surfaces (like Yupo paper and ceramic tiles) to use, ensuring you understand necessary safety protocols for working with the medium.

• Fundamental Techniques: Learn how to manipulate the inks using air (straws and canned air), brushes, and tilting to create specific effects like ethereal wisps, dramatic blooms, and layered color fields.

• Color Theory in Action: Discover how to choose and blend colors effectively, including the use of metallic "mixatives" to add brilliant shimmer to your work.

• Finishing & Sealing: Learn the proper method for sealing and protecting your finished artwork so you can proudly display it at home.

• Who Should Attend: This class is designed for adults (18+).

• What to Bring: All art materials (inks, paper, tools, gloves, and aprons) are provided. Please wear clothes you don't mind getting stained, as alcohol inks can be messy!

• Ventilation Notice: Alcohol inks have a strong scent due to the Isopropyl alcohol. If you have any respiratory sensitivities, please be cautious and contact us beforehand. Our studio is well-ventilated for your comfort.
