This isn't your average middle school art class—it’s a tactile, low-stress escape designed specifically for adults who want to trade their keyboards for some clay. In this course, we focus entirely on **handbuilding**—the foundational (and arguably most creative) way to work with clay using just your hands and a few simple tools. No spinning wheels, no "Ghost" movie pressure—just pure, meditative construction. In addition to learning the foundational elements of clay, we will focus on The Big Three. Diving into Pinch, Coil, and Slab construction— Learn how to score and slip so your handles actually stay attached (a vital life skill). Experiment with stamps, textures, and carving to give your work a sophisticated, high-end finish. Discover how to choose and apply glazes that turn raw clay into food-safe, functional art.
