PASTEL EXPRESSIONS

This class specifically uses soft pastels. We discuss composition, color, subject matter and what will make your painting uniquely yours. Please bring your subject ideas to class with you each week. An iPad is terrific or a printed photo of your subject idea. I always bring a set of soft pastels with me each week for newcomers to use until they decide if soft pastels are right for them. I recommend a particular type of paper to use initially: UART or Pastel Premier. I bring sheets of paper with me each class and will sell at cost. The initial use of my pastels are free. Please bring an old towel or 2 for the table and floor. Pastels are a little messy and will break if they are dropped on floor. Please bring an old rag/towel for your hands when you work. Also bring foam core board to be used as a backer board for your paper. There are easels in the classrooms. We have a 10 person maximum for each session.
